I’ve always liked the look of windows in the bedroom and the idea of having an indoor space where you can have the windows and be able to see out to a patio or patio furniture, or have an outdoor space where I can be outside and be inside.
I also like having something to look at in the window.
Awnings are great, but they can be a bit pricey, especially if you have kids.
A window on the ground can be really cool, but when you are on the move, and you want to be able see something else, I’m not sure you would want to spend that much on awners.
Awnings are great, so here’s how you can make one for your bed.
Get some materials: Awning materials for making a window on your bedroom floor can be quite expensive.
For me, this is the window on my bedroom floor, and it costs around $500.
Cut it: The hardest part of this process is cutting it.
I’ve done this before, but it was a lot easier this time.
You don’t have to cut the window, you just have to take the window frame, the window legs, and the frame that comes off of the window itself.
Measure: If you have a measuring tape handy, you can measure your window length and height.
For mine, I measured the window to be 2.25 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall.
Attach the window: I found this handy little tool called a drill press to be a fantastic way to attach the window and window legs together.
Finish: You can also make the window awner, or even just a piece of glass, if you prefer, or you can attach the glass to the window leg as a piece that you can slide it under.
Cleaning up: After you attach the piece of window to the frame, you should put the window in the fridge for about two hours.
Repeat: You’re done!
Make it more colorful: To add a bit of color to your bedroom window, decorate it with bright lights and colorful curtains.
Treat it like a trophy: If this window is going to be in your bedroom, it should be a little more special than a normal window.
You want to add a little something special to the top and sides of the glass.
For my window, I put a little piece of ribbon on the bottom of the frame and attached the ribbon to a light.
And that’s it!
You’ve made your own windows!
You can use these to hang your curtains and decorate the walls of your bedroom.
I made mine out of a piece from a big, round glass.
It’s the same size as a quarter and it has a piece at the top, and a piece in the middle.
You can use whatever fabric you have laying around to make these.
I used a linen pillow.
You can even use a piece made of a cardboard box to make them.
Happy Christmas, and Happy New Year!
